For more than 20 years, SOCOTEC has been supporting clients across Ireland with trusted expertise that helps deliver safer and more sustainable infrastructure and buildings.
Our journey in Ireland began with ground investigation services, providing the technical expertise needed to support construction and development projects across the country. As demand for specialist environmental services grew, we expanded our offering to include air and emissions monitoring, helping clients meet increasingly complex environmental and regulatory requirements.
From our early operations in Naas and Letterkenny, we have steadily built our presence, developing long-term partnerships with clients across the public and private sectors. Throughout this growth, our focus has remained the same: delivering high-quality technical expertise, responsive local support and innovative solutions that help our customers manage risk and improve performance.

Expanding Our Presence into Ireland
A significant milestone in our Irish journey came in September 2025 with the acquisition of Lloyds Datum. Bringing together more than 25 years of specialist expertise in foundation testing, structural monitoring, geotechnical monitoring and civil engineering services, the acquisition strengthened our infrastructure capabilities while establishing SOCOTEC's first permanent presence in Northern Ireland.
Today, our combined expertise enables us to deliver an even broader range of technical services across the island of Ireland, supporting some of the country's most significant infrastructure, construction and development projects.

Investing in Ireland
Our continued investment reflects our long-term commitment to the Irish market.
Most recently, we opened a new Dublin hub, expanding our capabilities and providing dedicated fire engineering and fire design services to clients throughout Ireland. The new office complements our established locations, enabling our specialists to work even more closely with customers and provide local expertise backed by the strength of an international organisation.
Today, SOCOTEC Ireland employs more than 40 technical specialists and generates over €7 million in annual turnover. While we have grown significantly over the past two decades, our ambition remains unchanged: to continue investing in our people, our capabilities and our presence across Ireland.
